Step 1: Watch this. (If you’re sensitive to language, maybe skip this one.)

Step 2: Think about it. Are you buying more stuff (a closet organizer, a bigger house, a storage system, an extra bookshelf, a shed, a storage unit itself!) just to fit your ever-growing pile of stuff?

Step 3: Take some action. Can you donate some of the stuff you currently own? And next time you go to buy something, can you remind yourself that you’re going to have to find a place to put it…and that stuff isn’t what (usually) brings happiness and adds value? Do these reminders before making the purchase help change your buying habits and bring them more in line with your values and goals?
